MY NEW BABY

Say hello to my new best friend!  Isn't she a stunner?  This is one of my amazing birthday presents and probably my favourite present to date!  She is a Cartier Tank Solo in Stainless Steel and I love her with all my heart hehe.

It has blue steel hands and a sapphire crystal on the crown.  I decided to go for the small size as it's more classic.  Since Glasgow unfortunately doesn't have a Cartier store, I got mine from Mappin & Webb in Glasgow's Argyle Arcade which actually stocks a wide range of Cartier Watches.  They were great.

It came with the beautiful signature red cushioned box which is a work of art in itself and a warranty and customer care booklet.  Since I go on holiday soon I also wanted a travel pouch so I emailed Cartier directly and they very kindly sent me out a travel pouch and two cleaning kits for my watch.

So yeah.  That's my baby!  Hope you enjoyed reading and I highly recommend Mappin & Webb to anyone looking for a Cartier watch in Glasgow, also do not hesitate to contact Cartier directly for information and cleaning kits.  They are so helpful and more than happy to help which just makes the experience even better.  Speak soon - Shannon.

BIRTHDAY BITS

At the start of the month it was my 24th Birthday!  I can't believe I'm actually 24, I still feel the mental age of around 18.  I had a few days off work and decided to skip the heels in favour for silky pyjamas and a slumber party!  Just a few close friends and some cute decorations and I was happy.  My slumber party was the cutest.  I wanted to make sure everything was extra pink and girly.

Joe surprised me the night before and decorated the house with banners and got me some special balloons!  How sweet, I love surprises.

The set up for the slumber party was so cute.  All of my favourite sweet treats and snacks, and I LOVED my "Let's Party Bitches" banner even if the apostrophe is in the wrong place haha!

Matching pyjama's and polaroid's are a delightful duo.  We had a great night and I wouldn't have wanted to spend my birthday any other way!

Here are some other photo's from after my birthday and the days prior.  Joe got me some beautiful flowers delivered to work, white flowers are my favourite.

I also went for breakfast at Coia's with one of my friends from work.  We then went into town and done some shopping and of course we had to stop by Starbucks

Sunday night was spent watching Love Island and relaxing on the couch.  We got some glass bottle's of coke that were ice cold and some of my FAVOURITE nibbles.  If you haven't tried these white fudge covered pretzels then you NEED to!

I also went for lunch with my Great Aunt.  We met up in town and went for a Darcy's.  It was great to catch up with her and listen to all her stories from years ago, I love spending time with her.  I went for a BLT and chips - very bad.... but so good!

Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoyed!  Much Love - Shannon

GOOD VIBES

Just a few pictures from my weekend which was again a pretty chilled one!  On Friday I watched Love Island with a few gin's - I'm addicted.  Then on Saturday I met my sister in town and we had a little girly catch up, we wandered around the shops, grabbed a few coffee's and also went for lunch!

We popped into Princes Square to have a wander and then seen there was a lot of commotion outside of Jo Malone - me being the nosy that I am, we had to see what the fuss was about!  Turns out there was a Claw Machine giving away little Jo Malone goodies.  This is all part of their #JustBecause campaign, which is all about giving gifts "Just Because" showing that you don't need a reason to spoil the ones you love - awwwwwr.

If you know me you'll know that I LOVE Jo Malone,  so I couldn't not have a little go at it!  We went inside and queued for a matter of minutes.  Your only allowed one attempt per person, so I went before my sister and just my luck, I WON!

I was expecting a few testers or maybe even a little voucher but when I opened the box it had one of their 30ml Cologne's!  It's so thoughtful and it was such a nice little surprise.  I got Basil & Neroli which is one I haven't tried before so I'm excited to test it out.  It's a very fresh scent so it should be great for summer - that's if we get a summer here in bonnie Scotland.

After that we went for a bite to eat in Bill's.  I've been here a few times but only for breakfast so this was my first time trying the Lunch / Dinner menu which has actually just been updated.  It was nice, although Alex's chicken skewers were much nicer than the burger I choose, with some sweet potato fries - delish!  The cocktails were amazing too and I loved the new menu's!

After lunch we wandered some more, I had a look in Frasers at the Tom Ford concession - the Tom Ford Make-Up packaging is just too much, me and my sister want everything!  Just as well my birthday is coming up hehe.  My sister then took me to Tim Horntons which has not long opened.  She made me try the Timbits which were soooo good!  After that we parted ways since she had to go back to Stirling (sad face).

And it wound't be the weekend without a little selfie!  I hadn't took a selfie in a while so Saturday was a good opportunity.  I was wearing my new "love" chain from H&M which I love, it's just so cute and tiny!  Zara Denim Jacket, Zara Leather trousers, Zara Chains, Grey Converse, an old Iron Maiden T-shirt which I ripped and customised myself and then my fur jacket is Vintage.

I hope you enjoyed reading and catching up!  Speak soon.

RECENTLY

Just a few photos from the past few weeks.  I was ill for a while there so not much was happening however I'm on the mend now and trying to get back at it!  Counting down the days until my holiday, it can't come quick enough!

All about the coffee and the Gin & Tonic in life!  I was in Next with my Mum and brother and we decided to nip in for a little pick me up since I can't go a weekend without some caffeine.  How cute is his little hot chocolate?  And yes I might have had a slice of coffee and walnut cake also (oopsie).  G&T is my alcoholic drink of choice.  This one is from Darcy's in town, it was a nice day so me & one of my besties sat outside and had a good old chin wag.

I was at a Fun Day a few weekends back.  I go every year, it's for a great cause that's close to my heart and it's always a great day that we raise a lot for!  This is what I wore, keeping it casual and comfy although it did batter from the heavens that day!

Grey High Top Converse, old Zara Leather Shorts, an old ASOS grey tee, Zara Denim Jacket - which I'm obsessed with!  Zara necklaces, H&M Bag and rings and the shirt around my waist is also an old Zara one.  Funky fresh!

Another cawfeeee from a weekend.  I've unfortunately had some stomach problems so my new order will need to be a Soy or Almond Milk one!  At least it's healthy I suppose.  Anyway I hope to be uploading more soon.  Thanks for reading.

ACAI

Why have I only just discovered Acai Bowls?  This is the question I've been asking myself for a month or so, since I first tried one.  If you like fresh fruit then you'll love the frozen freshness of an Acai Bowl.  It's basically a smoothie bowl garnished with fruit and seeds or granola.  There are a million different recipes on Google and Pinterest.  Below is my favourite.  I also LOVE a green smoothie - I feel energized and ready to take on the day after I have one so I've attached my recipe for that also.  Hope you enjoy.

WEEKEND IN THE SUN

So a few weeks back Joe text me out of the blue telling me he had booked for us to go to Tenerife the following weekend.  Very impulsive and so spontaneous - but very exciting!  It was a fun-filled few days but since a blog post wasn't the first thing on my mind during the trip I don't have lots of photo's, however here are the ones I do have and a little more about my trip!

We stayed in the Yucca Park Apartments in Adeje which were great.  They were within walking distance from the taxi rank, supermarket and the Beach which was so handy.  They were clean and chilled which is exactly what you want for a little weekend away!  A sneak peak into what I wore travelling - some ripped Zara jeans, a little Zara bag that resembles a mint humbug, and some gold satin sandals also from, wait for it......  Zara!

I'd never been to Tenerife before and I must say it was stunning.  The sun was constant and it was blue skies all day.  These photo's definitely didn't need any filters that's for sure.  We arrived on the Friday and went straight out for drinks with friends then on the Saturday we all went to Kaluna Beach Club for the day.  Since it was a pretty messy one both me & Joe went back to the apartments and crashed out while everyone else went out partying some more... Can't handle the scandal these days!

On the Sunday we had some beds booked at Le Club in Adeje which is a much more chilled out and relaxed vibe.  It was right on the beach so the sun was beating down on us all day.  The music was great and the service was even better.  The food was amazing and the frozen Lemon Daiquiri's were delish!  This was by far my favourite part of the weekend and 100% would recommend to anyone staying in or visiting Adeje!

Our last night was spent having an amazing meal and a few drinks with friends then we headed to the airport in the early hours of Monday morning.  Overall a great last minute weekend away and I will most deffinetly be visiting Tenerife again soon... Hopefully!  Thanks for reading - Shannon.
